West Texas A&M Men’s Basketball Signs Narit Chotikavanic
The West Texas A&M men’s basketball team has announced the signing of Narit Chotikavanic, a standout player from Plano East High School in Plano, Texas.
Chotikavanic helped lead his team to their first Class 6A state championship in school history, averaging 11 points, six rebounds, and two assists per game in his senior campaign. He earned First Team All-District and Academic All-District honors, and was also named Second Team All-District in his junior season.

“West Texas A&M is getting a proven player in Narit Chotikavanic. He is a proven winner,” said Matt Wester, Chotikavanic’s coach at Plano East High School. “He helped lead his team to a 40-0 record and a Texas 6A state championship. He shot over 42% while going 71-5 in his high school career and guarding every position.”

“Narit is a great young man who is very driven,” said Tom Brown, head coach of West Texas A&M. “He is someone we have enjoyed watching this season. He only got better as the season went along. We are very excited to be able to get such a quality player and person. He will have an opportunity to contribute right away and will bring a wealth of experience winning at the highest level in Texas high school basketball.”
Chotikavanic joins a West Texas A&M program that is coming off back-to-back Lone Star Conference regular season titles. The Buffs are also coming off another Elite Eight performance, their fourth in the past eight seasons.

With Chotikavanic on board, the Buffs are looking to continue their winning streak and make a strong push in the NCAA Division II tournament.
