Week in Review: Team USA Struggles, Top Recruits Make Their Mark
It’s been a mixed bag for Team USA in the past week, with struggles on the court and some encouraging signs off of it. Meanwhile, top recruits have been making their mark on the recruiting trail.
Team USA’s Olympic Hopes Take a Hit
Team USA has some things to sort out before heading to Paris, apparently. The superstar-laden team heading to the 2024 Summer Olympics is plagued by “ego and other BS” according to sources. [](The ego that lies within the team, everyone is out for their own and not for the team as a whole)
In a tune-up game, the Americans barely squeezed past Australia, 98-92, causing many to question if the team can pull together for a fifth straight gold medal. Coach Steve Kerr was painfully aware of the issues, citing a lack of continuity compared to more cohesive international teams.

Serbia Provides Stiff Competition
In an exhibition game, Team USA faced off against Serbia, led by NBA superstar Nikola Jokic. The Serbians gave the Americans a run for their money, with Filip Petrusev, a Gonzaga product, leading the charge.
