The West Coast Conference has announced its 2024-25 men’s basketball conference matchups, and it’s time to dive into the exciting schedule ahead. As a basketball enthusiast, I’m thrilled to see the 11 men’s basketball programs gearing up for what promises to be an electrifying season.
The West Coast Conference is ready to tip off the 2024-25 season.
Last season, the WCC boasted two teams in the final national polls of the season. Gonzaga completed the season as the WCC’s highest-ranked team at No. 15 in the AP and No. 16 in the USA Today Coaches poll. Saint Mary’s wasn’t far behind at No. 21 in the AP poll and No. 22 in the Coaches poll. Both Gonzaga and Saint Mary’s earned No. 5 seeds in the NCAA Tournament.
This season, each team will play an 18-game conference schedule, with a balanced home-and-home schedule for all 11 teams in the league. The previous five conference seasons featured a 16-game unbalanced schedule when WCC men’s basketball was a 10-team league.
Gonzaga’s Road to Success
Gonzaga will face San Diego at home and Pacific on the road, with home and away games against Saint Mary’s, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Washington State, LMU, Oregon State, Portland, and Pepperdine.
Gonzaga is looking to dominate the WCC this season.
LMU’s Challenging Schedule
LMU will host Oregon State and travel to Washington State, with home and away games against Gonzaga, Saint Mary’s, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Portland, Pepperdine, San Diego, and Pacific.
