Coach Lord’s Take on the New Additions

“We are extremely excited to announce the signing of JaNai Coleman,” Lord said. “She has been one of the most talented players in the Rio Grande Valley for the past three years. JaNai has a unique combination of size, strength, and speed at the guard position. She can really score the basketball but she also has the athletic ability to really guard on the defensive end.”

“Chynell is a graduate transfer that will bring good Division I experience to the Vaqueros,” Lord added. “She is an outstanding athlete at the forward position. Her speed, athleticism, and competitiveness will be a welcomed addition to our program. Chynell is a tenacious rebounder and she can really get out and run the floor.”

With these two talented players joining the roster, the UTRGV Vaqueros are poised to make a strong impact in the 2024-25 season.
