USA Basketball Ready to Take on the World
USA Basketball Men’s Team.
The 2024 Paris Olympics are just around the corner, and Team USA is gearing up to take on the world in both men’s and women’s basketball. With a star-studded roster featuring some of the biggest names in the NBA and WNBA, the US is looking to bring home its fifth straight gold medal in men’s basketball and eighth straight in women’s basketball.
Men’s Team Looks to Continue Dominance
Led by LeBron James, who’s looking to bring home his third Olympic gold medal, the men’s team will face stiff competition from teams like Serbia, Australia, and Germany in the group stage. But with a roster packed with talent, including Steph Curry and a host of other NBA champions, the US is confident it can bring home the gold once again.
Schedule Set for Men’s Team
The men’s team will kick off its Olympic campaign on July 28 against Serbia, followed by games against South Sudan on July 31 and Puerto Rico on August 3. From there, it’s on to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the gold medal game on August 10.
Women’s Team Looks to Continue Unbeaten Streak
The women’s team, meanwhile, is looking to continue its unbeaten streak at the Olympics, having won every gold medal since 1996. Led by A’ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart, the team will face Japan, Belgium, and Germany in the group stage, with the gold medal game set for August 11.
