As the world’s top basketball players gear up to face off in Paris, the pressure is on for Team USA to assemble a squad that can bring home the gold for the fifth consecutive Olympic Games. But with stiff competition from the NBA’s best, it won’t be an easy feat.

We challenge you to select a starting five from a pool of American heroes (and a few snubs). The goal? Create a team that can outscore the competition and bring home the coveted gold medal.

To help you make your decision, we’ll be using estimated RAPTOR, an all-encompassing metric that combines a player’s box score performance with their on-court impact. This will give us a predicted net rating – point differential per 100 possessions – when our chosen lineup is on the court. The perfect lineup? That’s a score of 100%. So, get to work, and don’t be afraid to try a few combinations until you nail it!
