University of Richmond Women’s Basketball Adds Alyssa Jimenez to 2024-25 Roster
The University of Richmond women’s basketball team has announced the addition of FGCU transfer Alyssa Jimenez to their roster for the 2024-25 season. Head Coach Aaron Roussell expressed his excitement about the new addition, stating, “We are thrilled to have Alyssa join our program for the upcoming season. This finalizes our roster for 2024-25, and we were able to complete it with a player that fits our style of play perfectly in so many ways.”

Alyssa Jimenez, a 6-0 guard, spent the 2023-24 season at FGCU, where the Eagles clinched a 2024 ASUN Tournament Championship title en route to an appearance in the 2024 NCAA D-I Women’s Basketball Championship. Prior to her season with the Eagles, Jimenez spent four seasons at Nevada, starting in 94 of 97 games for the Wolf Pack.
“Last year’s success gave this team a hunger that is at an all-time high,” Roussell said on preparing for the 2024-25 season. “I am so eager to get on the court with them and begin the quest to bring this university and its fans another championship.”

Jimenez, along with Stephanie Ouderkirk, Sam Dewey, and Faith Alston, round out the 2024 transfer class, and will join incoming freshmen Annika Manthy, Alicia Newell, and Peyton Richard as the newest faces to the Spider roster.
