UNA Women’s Basketball Prepares for 2024-2025 Season
The Atlantic Sun Conference has announced the women’s basketball conference schedule for the upcoming season, and North Alabama is gearing up for an exciting 18-game slate. With the addition of West Georgia to the conference, the Lions are looking forward to the challenge.

“We’re excited about the release of the conference schedule,” said first-year UNA women’s basketball coach, Candi Whitaker. “The ASUN is a competitive league, but we look forward to the challenge.”
The Lions will kick off their conference schedule on Thursday, January 2, when they take on the Bellarmine Knights in Louisville, Kentucky. They will then host Jacksonville and Austin Peay on Saturday, January 4, and Wednesday, January 8, respectively.
Conference Schedule Highlights
The Lions will face off against Stetson and North Florida on Thursday, January 16, and Saturday, January 18, in Florence. They will then take on Queens and West Georgia on Thursday, January 30, and Saturday, February 1.

The Lions will hit the road for four-straight away games, starting with a Florida road trip against North Florida on Thursday, February 6, and Jacksonville on Saturday, February 8. They will then face Central Arkansas on Thursday, February 13, and West Georgia on Saturday, February 15.
The final four games of the regular season will see the Lions take on Lipscomb and defending ASUN Conference champion FCGU on Thursday, February 20, and Saturday, February 22, respectively. They will then travel to Charlotte for a road meeting against Queens on Thursday, February 27, before ending the regular season at home against Central Arkansas on Saturday, March 1.
“Our team is working hard to prepare for the upcoming season, and we’re excited to take on the best teams in the ASUN,” said Coach Whitaker.
