Trent Sisley: Focusing on Development at Montverde Academy
Four-star forward Trent Sisley has been making waves in the basketball world lately, and The Daily Hoosier caught up with him at the Adidas 3SSB Finals to talk about his recent transfer to Montverde Academy and his goals for the future.
Montverde Academy, a hub for basketball development
Sisley’s decision to transfer to Montverde Academy was a strategic move to improve his skills and prepare himself for college basketball. “Yeah, like you said, it’s all about bettering myself, developing. Coach (Kevin) Boyle, great coach, well respected, so I just want to go down there, work on my skills, become more perimeter oriented a little bit, and get ready to go for college,” he explained.
The four-star forward is determined to transition into a wing player, a move that he believes will help him play in college for a long time. “I think that’s what I need to be in the long run to keep myself playing for a long time. So I’m just trying to transition to that, and obviously, it will help in college too, just being able to shoot on the perimeter,” he said.

Sisley has already narrowed down his college options to a top five, which includes some of the most prestigious programs in the country. Despite the transfer, he doesn’t anticipate any changes to his recruitment. “It’s not going to effect my recruitment at all. I dropped those top five before I announced my commitment to Montverde. I’m just going down there to get ready for those schools, not to get new ones,” he assured.
Trent Sisley’s recruitment remains unchanged
As Sisley embarks on this new chapter in his basketball journey, it’s clear that he’s focused on development and dedicated to reaching his full potential. With his talent and work ethic, the future looks bright for this young baller.
