The Memphis Tigers have made a significant addition to their roster for the 2024-25 season, announcing the signing of sharpshooter Colby Rogers. Rogers, a 6-foot-4 guard, transfers to Memphis from Wichita State, where he spent two seasons. Prior to that, he played for Siena and Cal Poly.

Rogers brings a wealth of experience to the Tigers, having played in 49 games for Cal Poly and earning second-team All-MAAC honors with Siena. He has one final season of eligibility remaining.

In his last season with Wichita State, Rogers started all 34 games and averaged a team-high 16.4 points, along with 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. He broke the program’s single-season record with 99 made 3-pointers and connected at a 40.9-percent clip on 7.1 attempts per game.

Rogers’ impressive shooting ability will undoubtedly be an asset to the Tigers, who are looking to make a strong run in the American Athletic Conference.

Rogers’ scoring ability was on full display at the end of the season, where he averaged 26.3 points with 23 made triples (62.1%) over his last four regular season games. He made multiple triples in 27 games and scored at least 20 points in 10.

The Covington, Georgia product finished fifth in the AAC with an 82.8-percent mark from the free throw line (77-for-93), dished out 64 assists, and swiped 35 steals.
