The Ultimate Home Court Advantage: BYU’s Stacked 2024-2025 Basketball Schedule

The Brigham Young Cougars are gearing up for an electrifying 2024-2025 basketball season, and their home schedule is looking more enticing than ever. With the Big 12 conference releasing its schedule last month, BYU fans have every reason to be excited.

As I delved into the schedule, one thing became clear: it doesn’t get much better than this. The Cougars will be hosting some of the toughest teams in the conference, including powerhouses like Baylor, Kansas, and Texas Tech. The Marriott Center is going to be rocking this season.

It’s hard to believe how far BYU has come since 2020. The Cougars have landed themselves in the best conference in America, and it’s a dream come true for basketball enthusiasts.

Of course, the only thing missing from this perfect schedule is a marquee non-conference game. As of now, the non-conference home schedule features teams like Central Arkansas, Idaho, and FAMU. While these games might not be the most thrilling, there’s still hope that a big-name team will come to the Marriott Center in November or December.

Even if that doesn’t happen, the Cougars’ home schedule is packed with action. Combining that with the hype surrounding the program, thanks in large part to Kevin Young, this season is shaping up to be the most anticipated since Jimmer Fredette’s senior year.

As I look back on my own experiences watching BYU basketball, I’m reminded of the electric atmosphere at the Marriott Center. There’s nothing quite like it. The student section, decked out in blue and white, cheering on their team with unbridled passion. It’s an atmosphere that’s hard to replicate, and I have no doubt it will be in full force this season.

With the Big 12 conference schedule tipping off a week earlier than last year and no bye weeks in sight, the Cougars are in for a wild ride.
