Braylon Mullins dominates on the court

Class of 2025 guard Braylon Mullins has taken the basketball world by storm, transforming from an under-the-radar prospect to a highly coveted recruit. The Greenfield Central H.S. product has been making waves with his impressive performances, catching the attention of top college programs across the country.

“I’m grateful for all of it,” Mullins said in a recent interview. “I’ve just got to figure out what I want.”

Mullins’ journey to stardom began at the Charlie Hughes Shootout in the northern Indianapolis suburbs, where he stole the show with his exceptional skills. Head coaches from IU, Purdue, Notre Dame, Kentucky, Connecticut, Tennessee, Michigan, Michigan State, and Iowa were all in attendance, eager to witness the talented guard in action.

Mullins’ stats speak for themselves

The 6-foot-5 shooting guard has been on a roll, scoring 32 points against Indianapolis powerhouse Ben Davis H.S. to lead Greenfield Central to a win. His recruitment has been a whirlwind, with over 30 offers pouring in from top programs. Mullins is now in the process of narrowing down his options, aiming to visit no more than ten schools.

“I want to max it at 10 (visits),” Mullins explained. “I’m not going to do more than that.”

Mullins has already announced unofficial visits to Kentucky, Purdue, and Ohio State, with official visits to Michigan, Indiana, and Tennessee on the horizon. The expectation is that more visits will be added to his schedule, with blue-blood programs like UConn, North Carolina, and Kansas still in the mix.

Mullins’ recruitment timeline is filling up fast

Indiana has been making a strong push for Mullins, with four different staff members watching him at various points over the weekend. The Hoosiers’ interest in Mullins is evident, and it’s clear that they’re willing to go the extra mile to land the talented guard.

“Especially when we played Trent, they brought all the players, the whole staff, and that means a lot,” Mullins said, referring to Indiana’s team camp.

Mullins will be back on the IU campus the weekend of Sept. 20 for his official visit, joined by his Indiana Elite AAU teammates, Trent Sisley and Malachi Moreno. The trio, all top-75 prospects, have a clear chemistry on and off the court, and it’s possible that they may consider attending the same college together.

Mullins and his AAU teammates have a strong bond

As Mullins navigates the recruitment process, he’s keeping his options open and his priorities in check. With his decision timeline still uncertain, one thing is clear: Braylon Mullins is a name to watch in the world of college basketball.
