The NCAA’s Corporate Champions and Partners Program: A Commitment to Excellence
The NCAA’s Corporate Champions and Partners Program, established in 1984, is dedicated to promoting excellence in athletics and academics. This prestigious program brings together some of America’s top corporations, emphasizing the importance of athletics and academics in our society. These corporations support NCAA youth programs, student-athlete awards and honors, and scholarship initiatives.
A New Era of Partnership
In 2002-03, the program was restructured to consist of two specific tiers of marketing and promotional rights – Corporate Champions and Corporate Partners. This new structure has enabled the NCAA to work closely with its corporate partners, providing a platform for collaborative marketing and promotional activities.
A Commitment to Intercollegiate Athletics
The NCAA is privileged to work with these outstanding corporate citizens, who provide their commitment of dollars, personnel, and expertise to benefit intercollegiate athletics. This partnership has been instrumental in promoting the NCAA’s mission and values.
A New Era of Broadcasting
In 2016, the NCAA announced an eight-year extension of its multimedia rights agreement with CBS Sports and TNT Sports. This new contract extends the agreement through 2032, ensuring that TNT Sports and CBS Sports will continue to manage and collaborate on the NCAA’s corporate marketing program. Additionally, TNT Sports manages March Madness Live and NCAA.com, along with major events surrounding NCAA championships, including the NCAA March Madness Fan Fest and Music Festival.
