The 2024 NBA Summer League is just a few days away, and basketball fans can’t wait to see their favorite teams and players in action. The Las Vegas Summer League, which kicks off on July 12, will feature a plethora of talented players looking to make a name for themselves in the league.

Former Illinois Basketball Players in the NBA Summer League

Illinois basketball fans have a lot to be excited about this summer, as five former players will be participating in the NBA Summer League. Terrence Shannon Jr. will be suiting up for the Minnesota Timberwolves, while Marcus Domask will be playing for the Chicago Bulls. Quincy Guerrier will be representing the Toronto Raptors, Malcolm Hill will be playing for the New Orleans Pelicans, and Giorgi Bezhanishvili will be suiting up for the Indiana Pacers.

Other Former College Players in the NBA Summer League

In addition to the former Illinois players, there are several other former college players participating in the NBA Summer League. Buddy Boeheim, who played for Syracuse, will be suiting up for the Oklahoma City Thunder, while Cole Swider, who also played for Syracuse, will be playing for the Miami Heat. Judah Mintz, who played for Syracuse and Philadelphia, will be representing the Philadelphia 76ers in the Summer League.

Former College Players in the WNBA

Caitlin Clark, who played for Iowa, made history recently by breaking Pete Maravich’s all-time NCAA basketball scoring record. She was selected first overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft and will be playing for the Indiana Fever.

The WNBA season is off to a great start, with the Indiana Fever currently sitting in a Top-8 spot in the playoffs. Clark recently recorded a historic triple-double, becoming the first rookie in WNBA history to do so.
