Seminoles Set to Shine in Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off
The Florida State Seminoles are gearing up to take on the Temple Owls and the UMass Minutemen in the 2024 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut. The round-robin tournament, which also features Vermont, Delaware, Yale, and Fairfield, promises to be an exciting showcase of college basketball talent.
The Seminoles are looking to make a statement in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic.
The Seminoles will face off against the Owls on November 22nd at 5:00 p.m. EST, marking the latest installment in a series that began in 1992. The two teams have a rich history, with the Seminoles winning the first game of the series in the Milk Challenge in Orlando. Their most recent meeting took place in the 2016 NIT Tip-Off at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
“We are very excited to play in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic against two well-coached teams who will challenge all of our offensive and defensive principles,” said Head Coach Leonard Hamilton. “Both Temple and Massachusetts are always well-coached and well-prepared for every opponent. We also know that both teams are going to play hard. These are two really good games for us in November that will help prepare us for ACC play, which will be right around the corner after the tournament at the Mohegan Sun.”

The Seminoles will conclude their play in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic against the UMass Minutemen on November 24th at 5:00 p.m. EST. The two teams have a long history, with the series tied at 4-4. The Seminoles have won three of the last four games against UMass, including a 73-63 win on February 12, 2006, at the Donald L. Tucker Center in Tallahassee.
The Minutemen are looking to upset the Seminoles in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic.
Tickets for the 2024 Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off and Showcase will go on sale on Friday, September 6, via Ticketmaster and on sale at the Mohegan Sun Arena Box Office starting Saturday, September 7.
