Richmond Spiders Women’s Basketball: A New Season Ahead
The Atlantic 10 Conference has announced the pairings for the 2024-25 women’s basketball season, and the Richmond Spiders are gearing up for another exciting year. Coming off a record-breaking 2023-24 season, which saw them win the A-10 regular season title, the A-10 Championship tournament title, and make an appearance in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship for the first time since 2005, the Spiders are looking to build on their success.

The Spiders will play an 18-game schedule, which includes home-and-home series against Davidson, Dayton, Saint Joseph’s, and VCU. They will also welcome George Mason, George Washington, Rhode Island, St. Bonaventure, and Saint Louis to the Robins Center, where they went a record 14-0 on their home court last season.

Reigning A-10 Coach of the Year Aaron Roussell enters his sixth year at the helm of the Spiders in 2024-25. Roussell has a 47-32 mark in the conference and a 406-179 overall coaching record. The team welcomes four transfers to the roster for 2024-25, including Steph Ouderkirk, Sam Dewey, Faith Alston, and Alyssa Jimenez, as well as incoming freshmen Payton Richard, Annika Manthy, and Alicia Newell.
