The 5-foot-6 Shivers is the fifth player to commit to OSU this spring, joining a talented group of transfers and freshmen. The Beavers have been aggressively rebuilding their team after losing eight players to the transfer portal in April following a remarkable run to the Elite Eight.
“The addition of Mackenzie Shivers is a significant boost to our roster,” said an OSU spokesperson. “We’re excited to see her contribute to the team’s success.”
Shivers joins an impressive list of newcomers, including La Salle guard Tiara Bolden, Baylor guard Catarina Ferriera, and Florida State wing Lucia Navarro, as well as incoming freshman Elisa Mehyar from Denmark. The Beavers also return five players from last season’s team.
