Basketball Roster Updates: New Faces and Fresh Talent

The world of college basketball is abuzz with the latest roster updates, and we’ve got the scoop on the newest additions to the Arkansas State and UNC teams.

A-State Women’s Basketball Welcomes Tristan Stoutermire

Arkansas State women’s basketball head coach Destinee Rogers announced the addition of Tristan Stoutermire to the 2024-25 roster. Stoutermire, a talented player from Montevallo High School in Alabama, brings an impressive skillset to the table, averaging 19 points, 13 rebounds, and nine blocks in her high school career. She guided the Bulldogs to the Class 4A Sub-Regionals and was named to the 2023-24 All-County Second Team.

Stoutermire’s impressive stats and skills make her a valuable addition to the A-State roster.

“We are so excited to add Tristan to our squad this year,” Rogers said. “She is the final piece of the puzzle and adds depth to our center position. She is a great kid that will represent the program and the university well.”

Arkansas Basketball Roster Grows with Jaden Karuletwa and Melo Sanchez

Meanwhile, Arkansas basketball Coach John Calipari has added two more scholarship players to the roster: freshman guard Jaden Karuletwa and transfer guard Melo Sanchez. Both players have been on campus since last week and are expected to make a significant impact on the team.

Karuletwa and Sanchez bring fresh talent and energy to the Arkansas basketball team.

UNC’s Harrison Ingram Selected in NBA Draft

In other news, former UNC men’s basketball player Harrison Ingram was selected in the NBA draft as the No. 48 pick for the San Antonio Spurs. Ingram, who transferred from Stanford, made an immediate impact on the Tar Heel team during his junior season, averaging a career-high 12.2 points per game and shooting 38.5 percent from behind the arc.

Ingram’s success on the court earned him ACC third-team selection honors and helped push North Carolina to a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament.
