The Augustana women’s basketball team has announced the addition of Kaz Parks to their 2024-25 roster. Parks, a talented guard from Vancouver, Washington, has signed her national letter of intent to play for the Vikings.
New Viking Kaz Parks
“We’re super excited to add a player of Kaz’ talent this late in the recruiting process,” said Coach Vogel. “Kaz adds a lot of experience at the guard spot for us. She can play both point guard and wing spots. Kaz is a great 3-point shooter that scored close to double digits in both her previous college basketball seasons. Kaz is also a Dean’s List student that fits our culture perfectly.”
Parks brings a wealth of experience to the Vikings, having played for Cal Poly Humboldt. As a sophomore, she averaged 7.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 23 games, including 21 starts. She was named to the Department of Athletics’ Dean’s List in the Fall of her freshman season before averaging 9.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 22 games, all starts.
Awards and Accolades
In high school, Parks was a standout player at Skyview High School, averaging 10.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game during her senior season. She was a first-team All-League honoree and helped lead Skyview to a league championship. Parks was also the recipient of the Scholar-Athlete Award.
