Quarles-Daniels averaged 13.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and three assists per game, all team highs, while shooting 42 percent from the field and 62 percent from the foul line. She also made the conference’s all-defensive team, showcasing her impressive all-around skills.
The Golden Grizzlies finished 12-17 overall and 8-12 in the Horizon League last season. Quarles-Daniels’ statistics were fairly consistent over her two years at Oakland, with turnovers being an issue. However, her impressive freshman year earned her the league’s Freshman of the Year award.

Michigan faced Oakland last season, with the Wolverines winning 80-39 at Crisler Center on November 14. Quarles-Daniels scored 10 points that night on 4 of 8 shooting.
Quarles-Daniels is Michigan’s second incoming transfer this offseason, joining former Boston College forward Ally VanTimmeren. With six players transferring out since last season, the Wolverines are likely to add more reinforcements to their roster.
“Blessed to be a Wolverine,” Quarles-Daniels wrote on social media. “Let’s work.”
Michigan head coach Kim Barnes Arico reposted a message about the news on social media, welcoming Quarles-Daniels to the team.
