Mark Adams Reunites with Chris Beard at Ole Miss

Mark Adams is taking his talents to Ole Miss, reuniting with former colleague Chris Beard. The two coached together at Texas Tech during the Red Raiders’ national title appearance in 2019.

Adams took over as head coach of the Red Raiders in 2021 after Beard left for the University of Texas. He led the team to two NCAA Tournament appearances before resigning in 2023.

Now, Adams joins a star-studded staff at Ole Miss, which includes five of Beard’s former assistants from his time at Texas Tech. The team finished last season with a 20-12 record and a 7-11 conference record in the SEC.

A New Chapter for Mark Adams

After a successful stint at Texas Tech, Adams is looking to bring his expertise to a new conference. His experience in the Big 12 will undoubtedly serve him well as he navigates the SEC.

Beard’s staff at Ole Miss is full of familiar faces. In addition to Adams, five other former assistants from his time at Texas Tech have joined the team. Elliot De Wit and Parker Edison, who were part of Beard’s support staff in their early careers, are also on board.
