IU Basketball Recruiting: Updates from the Nike EYBL Live Session
============================================================
As I walked into the Nike EYBL live session in Westfield, Indiana, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The energy in the air was electric, and I knew I was in for a treat. The Daily Hoosier was on hand to catch up with some of IU basketball’s top recruiting targets, and I’m thrilled to share my observations with you.
The Nike EYBL live session in Westfield, Indiana
Kiyan Anthony: A Name to Watch
One of the most intriguing prospects I had the chance to observe was Kiyan Anthony, the son of NBA great Carmelo Anthony. Kiyan is a class of 2025 4-star guard who has already garnered significant attention from top programs around the country. What struck me about Kiyan was his poise and confidence on the court. He’s a natural leader, and his ability to score from anywhere on the floor is undeniable.
IU had three coaches watching Kiyan on Saturday morning, including head coach Mike Woodson. Kiyan told the media he doesn’t plan to take visits until after summer basketball in July, but Indiana is a school he plans to visit. I have a feeling we’ll be hearing a lot more about Kiyan in the coming months.
Jalen Haralson: A Top Target for IU
Another prospect who caught my eye was Jalen Haralson, a class of 2025 5-star guard. Jalen is a dynamic player who can score from anywhere on the court, and his athleticism is off the charts. He told The Daily Hoosier he wants to take several visits in the late summer and into the fall, with a fall decision looming. Indiana remains one of his top schools under consideration, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he becomes a priority target for the Hoosiers.

Darius Adams: A Sleeper to Watch
Darius Adams, a class of 2025 top-25 wing, is another prospect who impressed me with his length and athleticism. He’s a teammate of Jalen Haralson’s at La Lumiere, and Indiana is one of the schools he’s taking a close look at. Darius hasn’t put out a top schools list or scheduled visits yet, but I expect that to change soon.
Aleks Alston: A Chicago-Based Forward
Aleks Alston, a class of 2025 forward from Chicago, is another prospect who caught my attention. He’s a physical player who can score in the paint and from the perimeter, and Indiana is one of the schools he’s considering. Led by assistant coach Yasir Rosemond, Alston is hearing from IU on a regular basis.
Hudson Greer: A Texas-Based Guard
Hudson Greer, a class of 2025 guard from Texas, is a prospect who’s seen his recruitment take off in recent months. Duke and Kentucky are already involved, and Indiana is still in the mix. Greer says Indiana hasn’t offered yet, but they’re still actively communicating.
Trey McKenney: A 5-Star Guard from Michigan
Last but not least, I had the chance to observe Trey McKenney, a class of 2025 5-star guard from Michigan. Trey is a scoring machine who can get buckets from anywhere on the court, and Indiana is still in regular contact with him. He plans to narrow down his recruitment in the next few weeks, and I wouldn’t be surprised if IU makes the cut.
