The Huskies Just Got a Whole Lot Deeper
The University of Washington men’s basketball team has added another talented player to its roster for the 2024-25 season. Luis Kortright, a 6'3" guard from Manhattan, N.Y., has transferred from Rhode Island and is set to make an immediate impact.

Kortright, who started 31 games for the Rams last season, brings a wealth of experience to the Huskies. He averaged 10.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, leading the team in assists and steals while shooting a career-best 43.7 percent from the field.
“We’re excited to add another skilled ball-handling guard to our team,” Head Coach Danny Sprinkle said of Kortright. “Luis is big and physical and has proven his ability to score and facilitate at the D1 level. We are excited to get our group of guards competing in practice.”
Kortright also has a strong track record of success, having averaged double figures as a freshman and a junior at Quinnipiac, where he played three seasons. He averaged a career-high 3.9 assists in his junior season.

With Kortright on board, the Huskies are looking strong heading into the new season. His addition brings a new level of depth and talent to the team, and fans are eagerly anticipating what he’ll bring to the court.
