Hoosiers Land Illinois Transfer Luke Goode
Indiana men’s basketball adds sharpshooting forward to its roster
Indiana men’s basketball has snagged Illinois transfer Luke Goode, the junior forward announced on X, formerly known as Twitter. Goode is the Hoosiers’ fourth transfer pickup this offseason.
A 6-foot-7 forward from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Goode was a 3-star prospect out of Homestead High School. Although he didn’t receive an offer from IU out of high school, he’s now set to join the Hoosiers.
“I’m excited to join the Hoosier family,” Goode said in a statement.
In three seasons with the Fighting Illini, Goode averaged 4.1 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. He’s a sharpshooter, having made 38.8% of his 3-point attempts during his time at Illinois. Of his 265 career shot attempts, 219 have come from beyond the arc.
Goode faced the Hoosiers four times with Illinois. In two contests against them his freshman year, he played a combined 10 minutes and scored just 3 points. The last two seasons, he averaged 9 points and 2.5 rebounds with four total 3-pointers.

Goode entered the transfer portal on April 22 and received a crystal ball prediction to Indiana from On3’s Jamie Shaw, who made the prediction within an hour of Goode’s announcement.
The addition of Goode addresses a need on Indiana’s roster, providing a much-needed scoring threat from beyond the arc.
The Hoosiers will look to make a strong push in the upcoming season
With Goode on board, the Hoosiers are poised to make a strong push in the upcoming season. Stay tuned for more updates on Indiana men’s basketball throughout the offseason.
