Monmouth Men’s Basketball Embarks on Italian Adventure
The Monmouth University Men’s Basketball team is gearing up for an unforgettable experience as they embark on a 10-day foreign tour to Italy. This cultural immersion will take the team to four cities, including Rome, Florence, Venice, and Como, where they will participate in a series of exhibition games and explore the country’s rich history.
The team will visit iconic landmarks like The Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica.
Through the collaboration of Monmouth’s Global Education Office, the team will have the opportunity to engage with the local culture, visit historical sites, and develop a deeper understanding of the Italian way of life. This trip marks the team’s first foreign tour since 2015, when they visited China.
The Hawks will don their university’s logo with pride as they represent Monmouth abroad.
The team will play three exhibition games during their trip, scheduled for June 22, 24, and 27. The opponents and game times will be announced shortly. This trip is a unique opportunity for the team to grow both on and off the court, and the experience is sure to be a memorable one.
The team will have the chance to explore Italy’s picturesque countryside.
This trip would not have been possible without the fundraising efforts of the team and the support of the university. The team is excited to take on this new adventure and represent Monmouth University on the international stage.
