Duke Men’s Basketball Welcomes Special Guest Bradee
The ESPN “My Wish” series has returned for its 17th season, and this year, Duke men’s basketball is proud to welcome a very special guest, Bradee. ESPN has partnered with Make-A-Wish to fulfill sports-themed wishes for children with critical illnesses, and Bradee’s story is one of inspiration and triumph.

Since its beginning in 2006, the “My Wish” series has granted 84 sports-themed wishes for children with critical illnesses. For Bradee, his love of basketball was put on hold for five years as he battled chronic kidney disease. But after receiving a kidney transplant from his aunt, the 18-year-old was able to return to the court and pursue his passion.

The “My Wish” series has been granting sports-themed wishes for children with critical illnesses for over 15 years. The partnership between ESPN and Make-A-Wish has resulted in some truly incredible stories of courage and determination. For Bradee, his wish was simple: to attend a Duke men’s basketball game in Durham and see his beloved Blue Devils take on their biggest rivals, the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Bradee’s wish will air on ESPN on Tuesday, July 16, during the 7 a.m. SportsCenter. The feature will re-air multiple times throughout the day on various editions of SportsCenter and will be available on a special landing page on ESPN.com. Make-A-Wish will also be featuring Bradee’s story on their website.
