Duke Basketball: Darren Harris’ Injury Recovery on Track
The Duke basketball program received a welcome boost recently, as freshman Darren Harris was spotted participating in team workouts despite a hand injury. Harris, a 6-foot-6, 203-pound four-star wing and sharpshooter, underwent surgery in mid-June to repair a fracture in his non-shooting left hand.

The Blue Devils posted photos from a recent team workout on social media, showing Harris taking part in on-court drills, albeit with his right hand. One photo in particular showed him wearing a standard brace on his left hand, a promising sign in his recovery.
A Strong Freshman Class
Harris will join the nation’s top-ranked freshman class, which includes five other talented players. The team will also feature two returning guards with starting experience, sophomore Caleb Foster and junior Tyrese Proctor, as well as four transfer newcomers.
