Coaching Updates at GW
GW men’s basketball head coach Chris Caputo has announced some significant staff updates for the 2024-25 season. Matt Colpoys and Aaron Thompson have both been elevated to Assistant Coach, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the team. Colpoys, who has been with the program for three years, has played a key role in the team’s offensive success, including a record-breaking 287 made 3-pointers last season. Thompson, entering his second campaign in Foggy Bottom, will bring his on-court coaching and recruiting experience to the table.
Additionally, the program has hired Sam Ebersold as the new Director of Player Development. Ebersold, who comes from Southern Illinois, has a strong background in player development and will work closely with the coaching staff to improve the team’s skills and mindsets.

In recruiting news, five-star forward Niko Bundalo has set an official visit to Michigan State for the weekend of September 6. Bundalo, who recently helped Western Reserve Academy to a national prep championship, is an elite talent and a top target for Tom Izzo. The 6-foot-9 forward is known for his versatility, ability to handle the ball, and intense drive to be the best.

Non-Conference Schedule Updates
In other news, Niagara basketball has announced an update to its non-conference schedule, including a game against Detroit Mercy on November 10. The Purple Eagles are 5-5 all-time against the Titans, with their most recent matchup dating back to 2010.
