Coaching Updates at GW

GW men’s basketball head coach Chris Caputo has announced some significant staff updates for the 2024-25 season. Matt Colpoys and Aaron Thompson have both been elevated to Assistant Coach, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the team. Colpoys, who has been with the program for three years, has played a key role in the team’s offensive success, including a record-breaking 287 made 3-pointers last season. Thompson, entering his second campaign in Foggy Bottom, will bring his on-court coaching and recruiting experience to the table.

Additionally, the program has hired Sam Ebersold as the new Director of Player Development. Ebersold, who comes from Southern Illinois, has a strong background in player development and will work closely with the coaching staff to improve the team’s skills and mindsets.
