Baylor Men’s Basketball Bolsters Roster with International Talent
The Baylor men’s basketball team has added a new face to its roster, and this one comes with a wealth of international experience. Marino Dubravčić, a 6-foot-10 big man from Split, Croatia, has joined the team for the 2024-25 season.
Baylor University’s men’s basketball team is looking strong for the upcoming season.
Dubravčić brings with him a solid showing at the FIBA U18 European Championship in 2022, where he averaged 6.7 points and 3.9 rebounds across seven games for Croatia. His high-water mark in the event was a 12-point, eight-rebound performance against North Macedonia.
“Marino is someone who brings international experience to our roster,” head coach Scott Drew said. “He gives us some added depth in the post and will be a great teammate. We are excited to have him join us this season.”
The Croatian joins one of the highest-ranked recruiting classes in the nation, which includes V.J. Edgecombe, Rob Wright, and Jason Asemota. Additionally, BU has added three graduate transfers in Cal guard Jalen Celestine, Miami forward Norchad Omier, and former Duke guard Jeremy Roach.
